SURFACE FINISHING
We offer the following common PVD metal coatings
| PVD | Describe |
|---|---|
| TiN (Titan-Nitrid) | Standard hard material with high wear resistance and a relatively high coefficient of friction, usually golden in colour, with a safe application range up to approx. 300 °C. |
| TiC (Titan-Carbid) | Lower wear resistance than TiN, significantly lower coefficient of friction, usually anthracite in color. |
| TiCN (Titan-Carbonitrid) | An intermediate coating material between the high wear resistance of TiN and the low friction coefficient of TiC. The relative position between TiN and TiC depends on the ratio of C and N. |
| TiAlN (Titan-Aluminium-Nitrid) | An intermediate coating material between the high wear resistance of TiN and the low friction coefficient of TiC. The relative position between TiN and TiC depends on the ratio of C and N. |
| DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) | An intermediate coating material between the high wear resistance of TiN and the low friction coefficient of TiC. The relative position between TiN and TiC depends on the ratio of C and N. |
| (PTFE) (Poly-Tetra-Fluor-Ethylen) – Teflon | Very low surface tension, almost no foreign matter will adhere to the cutting edge, acid and alkali resistant; friction resistance is significantly reduced; static friction is very low, no jitter occurs during cutting, suitable for the medical industry. Low wear resistance, not suitable for contact with sodium and temperatures exceeding 250 °C. |
